Cookies

Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version

Operating system used

Referrer URL

Host name of the accessing computer

Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.

Privacy policy for the use of Piwik

This website uses the open source web analysis service Piwik. Piwik uses so-called “cookies.” These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymized before storage.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use here. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser to prevent Piwik from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, this will also delete the Piwik opt-out cookie. The opt-out must be reactivated when you visit our site again.

Privacy policy for the use of YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated site YouTube. The operator of the site is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Application form

When you submit the completed application form by clicking on the “Apply now” button, we will store the information you provide in the form, including your contact details, for the purpose of processing your request and in case we have any follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

Newsletter data / Subscription to our newsletter

On our website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to one or more newsletters. The newsletter system used is kulturkurier.de from data kulturlink ag (Berlin). The double opt-in procedure is used to ensure legal compliance and data protection. The potential recipient first receives an email with a confirmation link. Only after confirmation is the address added to the distribution list. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and the use of your address for mailing by clicking on the “Unsubscribe link” at the end of each newsletter. Further information can be found here: http://hilfe.kulturkurier.de/kulturnewsletter/

The personal data transmitted to the controller when ordering the newsletter is determined by the input mask used for this purpose. When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) to the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace any (possible) misuse of the email address of a data subject at a later date and therefore serves to provide legal protection for the controller.

The personal data collected in the context of registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for sending our newsletter. Furthermore, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or for registration in this regard, as may be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter offer or changes to the technical conditions. The personal data collected as part of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. To track opening and click rates, we use tracking codes in the newsletter (but not in the system emails for registration and deregistration) to record the opening of the newsletter and the clicking of web links. The recording is carried out in a pseudo-anonymized storage by replacing all personal data (e.g., the email address) with an identifier (pseudonym). This means that we do not store any personal data together with usage data such as the opening of newsletters or the clicking on web links. Furthermore, it is ensured that this data cannot be merged at a later date. If you, as the recipient, wish to object to this pseudo-anonymized tracking, you can unsubscribe from the list via the opt-out link at the end of each newsletter.
