With the International Singing Competition Wagner Stimmen 2026, the Richard Wagner Association Bayreuth e. V. aims to establish for the first time a groundbreaking singing competition at the Wagner Festival venue – to mark the 150th anniversary of the Bayreuth Festival.
The cooperation partner is the Bayreuth Festival.

Sponsors are the Society of Friends of Bayreuth e. V., the Kulturfonds Bavaria, the City of Bayreuth, the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation and the Adalbert Zajadacz Foundation.

The Richard Wagner Association Bayreuth is one of the local chapters of the Richard Wagner Association International. It sees itself as a forum for all music and art lovers, with a focus on exploring the universal oeuvre of Richard Wagner. It also aims to enrich the cultural offerings in the festival and university city of Bayreuth with its program. The promotion of young artists is a particular concern.
